Check out these amazing realisations of “Kanto in real life.”

If you are a fan of the Pokémon games, these beautiful pieces of art will take you on a journey through Kanto, and remind you of how epic that first pair of games really were. Starting in the iconic Pallet Town, digital artist and game developer, Simone Maendl has been working her way through the region where the series began. Using inspiration from the real world, Simone is building a version of Kanto that is more believable than any shown before, in my opinion. Looking at this artwork takes me back to a childhood walking along rivers, imagining there were Pokemon everywhere, and I love that. You can follow the rest of the journey on Simone’s Instagram: @simonemaendl.

In the past week we “celebrated” (🎉) Video Game Day, and while nobody really cared it got me thinking about how I enjoy video games. It became clear pretty quickly that I have an ideal way I like to partake in my favourite past time, and for no particular reason, apart from self-indulgence, I’m going to tell you what that is. What do you do while the game you are waiting to play updates?

What do you do while the game you are waiting to play updates?

Back when I was a kid, it was my mum trailing me from shop to shop that kept me from playing a brand new game I’d purchased on the same trip, not instal times and updates. After that, it was the 45-minute car trip home, but back then we had the manual to keep us ticking over, long gone are those days. So, my question to you is what do you do while waiting for your games to update? Continue reading “What do you do while the game you are waiting to play updates?”

In the wee hours of the morning, Pokémon fans got a big helping of new stuff to be excited about – here’s a round-up.

Last night I stayed up late to watch this press event, realised it was probably in Japanese and decided to just follow along on Twitter instead. Then my internet gave up so I couldn’t write about it. Basically, I wasted sleeping time, which I’m not overly happy about. What I am so glad about is all this new Pokémon news! IOI now have complete ownership and creative control over the Hitman IP. This is great news for fans of big, bald Agent 47

There was much fear in gamers worldwide when Square Enix decided to part ways with IO Interactive. A fresh start and some gaming resolutions for 2017

Trying to get this blog up and running has been a year-long struggle. There are a bunch of stupid reasons why which I am sure I will get into at some point in the future, but now at the start of a new year, I’m determined to kickstart the site into life. What is it going to become? Your guess is as good as mine at this point. Basically, I’m going to do whatever I feel like and see what I enjoy and don’t enjoy. Saying that the site can’t remain sitting empty while I try to think up something cool to post. So here is a list of my video game resolutions for 2017. Thrilling, I know.
